Matt Fisher is an experienced litigator who has represented plaintiffs and defendants—from individuals to multinational corporations—in complex commercial matters at the trial and appellate level. Prior to joining Sparacino PLLC, Mr. Fisher represented a global financial institution in multimillion-dollar litigation involving residential mortgage-backed securities trusts, an industry-leading real estate company in an antitrust class action, a foreign sovereign seeking to enforce an arbitration award, a federal civil servant contesting the constitutionality of an adverse employment action, and the prevailing parties in a Supreme Court case regarding the scope of the Federal Trade Commission’s authority. Mr. Fisher has also provided extensive pro bono representation to several incarcerated individuals.
Before joining Sparacino PLLC, Mr. Fisher was an associate at a leading litigation boutique. Before that, he clerked for the Honorable Edward C. Prado and the Honorable Don R. Willett of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Fisher graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. During law school, he was an Articles Editor on the Northwestern University Law Review, and he co-authored Terrorizing Advocacy and the First Amendment, 86 Fordham L. Rev. 565 (2017), with Professor Martin Redish.
Mr. Fisher is licensed to practice law by the Illinois State Bar. Until he is licensed to practice law by the Washington, D.C. Bar, Mr. Fisher works under the supervision of partners of the Firm who are licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C.
